Matt is a Physical Therapist who, when realizing the limited options of assistive mobility devices, took matters into his own hands (quite literally, with some ply wood and tools in his garage). The result was Nuvio, a company dedicated to advancing functional outcomes through thoughtfully designed assistive mobility devices. Matt talks about his how he discovered a problem, uncovered a solution and carried it from the clinic, to the garage, and finally into a company.
Matt is a Physical Therapist who has spent his career working with complex injury and geriatric populations. In 2020 he took the non-clinical leap when he founded Nuvio, a company committed to demonstrating the impact advanced assistive devices can have on functional outcomes. Their first product - Nuvio One - is set to launch in late 2022. Matt lives in Cambridge, MA with his wife Liz, daughter Emilia, and dog Miles. When he’s not talking about reimagining functional mobility you can find him golfing, enjoying a local brew beer, or watching the Celtics.
